Freya
Sapphire Nighthawk (2022)
In 2025, Freya became an official member of Hidden Creek Farm after traveling from her breeders at Ketadog Farms in Georgia. Freya has since tackled the major life changes with typical Irish Draught acceptance and curiosity. Freya is out of purebred mare, Bull Hill Mary Jane (Corrcullen x A Clover's Shadow) by RID stallion Cerulean Nightlife (Bridon Belfrey x Roma Blue Hawk).
Freya has been very friendly and agreeble with all the humans she's encountered at Hidden Creek. She's always eager to meet us at the gate and welcome newcomers to the farm for snuggles and scratches. Everyone who has met her has fallen in love with her interactive, kind, and inquisitive disposition. She's always excited and willing to try new things with a calm mind and body. In just a few days, my young kids even commented on how easily she settled into her new life and routine here in Michigan. Irish Draughts have such an easy going and participatory nature, they make wonder horses for those seeking a competitive mount with a great mind and a calm demeanour.
We are enjoying watching her continued growth in both mind and body, and look forward to Inspections in 2025 with the IDSHNA.

Freya's first time at the hitching post. She figured if we were going to tie her to something, it would be a great excuse to take a 30minute nap.
